Ann Palmer - Piano,Vocals

Cj Warren - Saxophone, Vocals

Pianist/songwriter/vocalist, Ann has led 5 On Friday for 15 years. From LA to Paris (100 euros in the airport!), she is tenacious in her journey to develop as a musician. She majored in piano at U of Dayton, subs at church, has directed choirs and also play with Etufe, DC's premium New Orleans band. Stay tuned for bigger and better things from 5 On Friday!

This saxophonist and New York native has been playing music for over 20 years, or as he is concerned "a really long time". After graduation from East Carolina University, CJ taught band at both the high school and middle school level in Hopewell, VA. He also had the joy of playing in various funk and rock bands in the Ricmond, VA area which also includes sitting in and playing with the legendary Four Tops. Always seeking to become a better musician and teacher, CJ received his Masters in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Now in his 11th year teaching (2nd year in Baltimore County), you can find him playing with the Hunt Valley Jazz Ensemble and 5 on Friday. 

Walter Heber - Bass

Bassist Walter Herber is originally from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia and has been playing in various settings around the Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area for the past 8 years. His experience includes playing such styles as jazz, blues, R&B, gospel and rock. You can catch Walter playing bass for the Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington DC during the 11 am service and at the Judges' Bench Pub in Ellicott City every first Tuesday of the month.

Vincent Stroman- Drums

Born in Washington DC and growing up in Northeast Washington DC area, Vincent attended McKinley Tech High School and graduated from The University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science in 1988. Vince worked for the Smithsonian Institution for over 28 year as an Information Technology Manager. As a drummer, Vince is the master of all musical styles including traditional and smooth jazz, R&B, gospel, latin, reggae and New Orleans jazz. Vince is also the church drummer at Wesley Presbyterian Church in Washington DC and has performed in various local music festivals and venues like Twins Lounge, The Montpellier Art's Theatre and Mr. Henry's. His skills behind the set has allowed him tp play with such greats like Jimmy Burrell, Butch Warren, Chalman Homes and Shirley Hughes to name a few. Finally, Vince also plays guitar, writes, produces and records his own music in his home studio.
